Ang Hin Kee (Template:Zh; born October 22, 1965) is a Singaporean politician and businessperson. A member of the Singapore-based political party People's Action Party (PAP), Ang currently serves as a Member of Parliament (MP) for the Ang Mo Kio Group Representation Constituency, or GRC in short. He also holds at job at the National Taxi Association (NTA) and the Education Services Union (ESU).

Early life and education[]

Ang Hin Kee was born in Singapore on October 22, 1965. He attended Kwong Avenue Primary School, graduating in 1977. He went on to study at Bartley Secondary School and Jurong Junior College. Thereafter, he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree with Honours from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 1991. In 2011, he was successfully admitted into Republic Polytechnic.[1]

Career[]

In May 1991, Ang joined the Police Headquarters in Singapore as a Project and Licensing Officer.[1] He held on to this position till December 1993. From February 1994 to September 1999, he served as Manager of the Singapore Tourism Board. From June 2000 to August 2000, he was the Business Development Manager of Worldmine. Subsequently, Ang enjoyed many other stints at different organisations, including the Singapore Badminton Association and the Singapore Sports Council.[1] Since 2012, Ang has been working at the National Taxi Association as its advisor.[1] He has also been the Education Services Union's Executive Secretary since the same year.[1]

A member of the Singapore-based political party People's Action Party, abbreviated as PAP, Ang was officially sworn in to parliament as a Member of Parliament (MP) for the Ang Mo Kio GRC on May 7, 2011, following the general election of that year. He is a member of both the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Social and Family Development.[1]
