Downtown Bay is a multi-modal company under RATP Group, is also a sightseeing operator. It is also Singapore Ducktours, of which it is sold in 2014. It started in 2001. Two garages are located at Gali Batu and Marina Bay Sands (Bayfront MRT Station).

The head office at 82 Amoy Street will be relocated to Gali Batu Depot with effect from 22 October 2014.

In 2017, it merged NWFB's Rickshaw Sightseeing Bus operation.

Downtown Bay has several bus routes which is from Gali Batu Depot, in addition to existing services 164, 180, 960, 971, 979 and 983 which are looping at Bukit Panjang.

Coronavirus Advisory[]

  • Rickshaw Sightseeing Bus is suspended from 15 February 2020 until further notice.
  • Gourmet Bus Lunch and Dinner services are temporarily unavailable from 15 February 2020.
  • Safari Line 2 has been suspended from 15 February 2020 (Jurong Bird Park).
  • Singapore Ducktours - Mandarin guided tours will be unavailable from 15 February 2020.
  • From 21 March 2020:
    • Safari Line 1 has been suspended (Singapore Zoo).
    • T2 & T5 will be reduced to 3 buses and 1 bus.
    • T3 will be reduced to 2 buses.
    • T6 will be reduced to 2 buses.
    • T1, T7 and T10 will have no service.
  • From 26 March 2020, all Downtown Bay (The Original Tour), Big Bus Tours, Gray Line Singapore and Singapore Ducktours are suspended. The safety of our Guests and Employees remains our number one priority, and we stand united with the rest of Singapore to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Fleet[]

Historically, their fleet were made up of second-hand step-entrance double deckers in 2001 – 2004 for the City Sightseeing/Singapore Ducktours operation in Singapore, but new open-top buses were arrived beginning January 2006. Their electronic destination displays were added since January 2006 to replace roller-blinds in stages, which uses Mobitec MobiLED in larger font. There are 67 buses which are in service.
