High-heeled footwear (often abbreviated as high heels or simply heels) is footwear that raises the heel of the wearer's foot significantly higher than the toes. When both the heel and the toes are raised equal amounts, as in a platform shoe, it is technically not considered to be a high heel; however, there are also high-heeled platform shoes. High heels tend to give the aesthetic illusion of longer, more slender legs. High heels come in a wide variety of styles, and the heels are found in many different shapes, including stiletto, pump (court shoe), block, tapered, blade, and wedge.
Some high heeled shoes do have ankle strap. When it comes to ankle strap, it has to be tightened or buckled up. The ankle strap have holes for tightness. It cannot be taken out without unbuckling because it will damage/break the shoe especially it is tightened. It is also not nice to take out high heels during wedding or event functions, and it should be done at home unless there are pains.
Nowadays, since 2011, some of the high heeled shoes do have a quicker release strap. This buckle is adjusted and fastened on the strap once. When you put the shoes on, put the strap with the hook that is in line near to the buckle. To remove, simply pull the strap tighter to give more room to move out of the buckle, then unhook. Some of them do not need helping because of the reason that the girls will simply say - "Its okay" when buckling the straps of the heel.
