Established in 1973, the Marketing Institute of Singapore (MIS) is the national body for sales and marketing. It began teaching professional development courses in 1981, and is the first institution in Singapore to obtain BAC accreditation, which was awarded in 2011.[1] It has since served over 40,000 students through its academic learning arm.

The Marketing Institute of Singapore Training Centre[]

The Marketing Institute of Singapore Training Centre (MISTC) is the training arm of the MIS, certified from the Council for Private Education with a 4-year EduTrust certification[2] and accredited by the British Accreditation Council (BAC).[3] Together with university partners as well as local and regional professional bodies, the Institute offers business qualifications at various academic levels to cater to the professional and academic development of its student population.[4]

bizSAFE Star[]

The Marketing Institute of Singapore is the first private education institution to have attained Level Star of the bizSAFE programme – developed by the WSH Council to promote Workplace Safety and Health. The 5-step programme assists companies to build up their Workplace Safety and Health capabilities based on key principles of the Workplace Safety and Health Act – to reduce risks at source, increase industry stakeholders' ownership and focus on achieving good WSH outcomes and systems rather than complying with prescriptive requirements.[5]

Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME)[]

The Marketing Institute of Singapore Training Centre is the first education provider in Singapore to become a communicating partner of the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) – a UN-backed global initiative aimed to inspire and champion responsible management education, research and thought leadership globally.[6]

United Nations Global Compact[]

The Marketing Institute of Singapore is a member of the United Nations Global Compact – the world's largest corporate citizenship and sustainability initiative. Since its official launch on 26 July 2000, the United Nations Global Compact has grown to more than 8,000 participants, including over 5300 businesses in 130 countries around the world.[7]

Campuses[]

MIS has two campuses in Singapore - the Main Campus at North Bridge Road (opposite the National Library) and 2 MIS Executive Clubs located at North Bridge Road (Renovation in progress)and Anson Road which are aimed at providing a more convenient location for adult learners and short courses participants.
